Qubie — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 17 October 2026 · Contact: hello@betterhumansgroup.com

The short version: Qubie is built to collect as little as possible. You don't need an account, we don't run servers that store your data, we show no ads, and we don't track you across apps or the web. The camera, microphone and Bluetooth features all run on your device.

Who we are

Qubie is published by Better Humans Group Ltd ("we", "us"). For any privacy question, email hello@betterhumansgroup.com.

Information stored on your device

The following stays on your device. We do not receive it, and it is not uploaded to us:

Deleting the app removes this local data from your device.

Device features we use

Each of these asks your permission first, and the feature simply doesn't run if you decline.

Linking a WCA ID (optional)

If you choose to enter a World Cube Association (WCA) ID, the app fetches your public competition results from the WCA's public API to show them as goals. We don't store that ID on our servers or collect your results — the request is made from your device to display the information to you.

Purchases

Qubie is free to download, with an optional one-time in-app purchase that unlocks extra features. The purchase is handled entirely by Apple's App Store or Google Play — we never see your card or payment details, and we don't use any third-party purchase-tracking service. Your device simply remembers that the unlock was bought (and Apple/Google let you restore it on your other devices).

Analytics & advertising

Qubie contains no third-party advertising and does no behavioural or cross-app tracking. It includes no analytics or crash-reporting SDKs. If we add privacy-first diagnostics in future, we will update this policy and the store privacy labels first.

Children

Qubie is a general-audience app suitable for all ages, including younger cubers — it is not directed at children under 13, and it is not part of Apple's Kids Category or Google's Designed for Families programme. Because the app's features run on-device and we operate no accounts, we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, children included.

Your rights

As we don't hold your data on our servers, you remain in control of it on your device — you can clear it at any time by deleting the app. If you're in the UK/EU, you have rights under UK GDPR / GDPR; contact us and we'll help, though in most cases we simply won't be holding any personal data about you.

Changes

We'll post any changes here and update the "last updated" date above.
